Does anyone have sprites/battlers/characters/following pokemon for 6th gen, 7th gen, and possibly mega evolutions that i can get to add to RPG Maker XP 17.2
Trying to make a game that i plan on sharing with the community, i can and will credit anyone who can help me out. ive googled plenty of sprites but im not sure what demensions i need so im hesitant to start copy and pasting to my game file's graphics folder.
Hi LizzarD1991, in order to add megas and such, you would need to instal Elite Battle System (EBS). It is a little finickey, and will take some time to get working. I would also recomend saving a backup of your game before you begin.
Could i skip using EBS if i were to just set the mega evolution artwork/ the form itself as just an additional evolution in the script? for example Charizard
Basically setting the mega evolution as a permanent evolution just like normal evolution, then i could maybe just adjust stats and moves to replicate the pokemon being as strong as mega evolution/mega attacks.
If i did that, i could just add all the art work and change the info and add script to the pokemon.txt file.
Im hoping i can but i still need all the art work for the 6th and 7th gen overworld sprites/battle art, and icons including mega evolutions
Well, I would see that working. you could make it work better by making the required megastone. So it would look like this:
I am also not sure whether or not the part of the script (MEGACHARIZARDX,75) would exactly work as you are hoping to, being: In order to evolve to Mega Charizard X required level must be reached as well as a certain item used.
You COULD set it as Evolve by level-up with item holding. OR Have it evolve to X if its attack is higher than its special attack. It would require more coding, but it would work better.

Ok so ive added all the art, including mega evolutions, added the items, etc. but im getting a runtime error

Idk how to make a positive integer or what needs modified to create that. sucks cuz i feel like im really close to having all i need to make my game but i cant even test the new art with the playtest crashing at start up!
